I dont play much anymore but I disagree strongly with the Mage comments. This is a fantasy game, so no historical comparisond can be made. I like the idea of one mage-used stategically-being able to kill half an army.

Or ... to counteract the overpowered mage, the knight ... imo, should ALWAYS shield block, not just once. Make it more fair that way imo. I don't see why not, shield is useless otherwise ... plus, if you attack from the side, the shield isn't used .. at all.

apparently weve never heard of characters such as Merlin, Gandalf, Saruman, etc. when you play chess do you complain about the abilities of the Q? each piece has specific benefits and costs. knights=strength durability, archers=quick distance, mages and healers are more expensive pieces to build.

I agree mages are too powerful, but if you dont have one it will be hard to win. How about this Sunday if someone wants to play and not use mages meet in advanced.
