Terminal, doesn't that make sense? Otherwise you could get a temporary advantage (e.g. by killing the opponent's mage in an all out effort that leaves you exposed) and then quit.
The next thing you have to do is ensure a quit is marked as a loss under any circumstances. Don't trivialize a quitter with arbitrary weighting of game state. You quit, you lose. Simple, logical and perfectly appropriate. It makes no sense to have a good player's victory be held hostage by an amateur with the fortune of having a temporarily higher score despite losing circumstances. It trivializes the whole point of a strategic victory.

But what's with an enemy quitting while he's ahead and getting no score and undecided?
