Disagree with Merk. The difference between 45 HP and 50 HP is huge when you're trying to take down knights with a mage and rangers. This makes life much easier for MCR teams against MKR teams.
MCR lives again. The king is dead, long live the king.
i just happened 2 read the question about the mage's chain direction, but 30 days have passed, so there are no more comments allowed in the actual blog(1 under this) and i thought i post it here.
here is what i have found out, based on 1000+ games that i have played:
the mage's chain is based on 3 facts:
1. what kind of units are around the current target(CT)
2. their distance to CT.
3. direction of the units
if the distance is the same, the kind of unit counts
if the units are the same, direction couts
(distance -> kind of units -> direction)
- about the distance:
it prefers: units next 2 CT -> units diagonaly 1 space away from CT -> units 2 spaces away from CT
- about the kind of unit:
it prefers: knights -> archers -> mages -> clerics
- about directions[i the is the part i am not realy sure about]:
it prefers(from mage's/CT's point of view): behind CT -> right of CT -> left of CT -> infornt CT
i hope this helpes ^^
i disagree with merk, it DID change things..
now the knights hps are better fitting into the rest of the game.
also i disagree that the 1M-2A-5K formation is still the best[actualy is disagree in general that there is a "best" setup, all have advantages and disadvantages], i personaly changed 2 the 1M-3A-4K formation.
btw, doctorrook, good job on ur unofficial guide
The change hasn't affected play much at all.
Same 5 knight 1 mage 2 archer sets are best.
The disconnects are caused by someone physcially pulling their internet connection at a certain time, I have to reprogram the server to detect this and it is a big pain.
I am not very sure that is the matter...i think lag points should be taken off...its a random loss ar, worse, alot of people CHEATS and take away points from you.
This will make things more interesting. I look forward to seeing some variation in the armies. I think I'll add an extra archer or two just to commemorate this moment.
